This CD contains the records for over 1100 marriage performed between 1821-1911 in Newport and Westport, Co. Mayo Ireland. Originally published in book form by William G. Selected records for the Diocese of Tuam generally dating from the late 1700s to the early part of the 19th century.
Some Newport and Westport Chapel records, generally dated 1821 to 1823.
Marriages registered in the Newport Registration Office during the period 1864 to 1880, both Catholic and Protestant. (Protestant marriages were by law registered beginning in 1845 and Catholics in 1864. There are a few Protestant marriages included in this book which are earlier than 1864.)
Some marriages, about 20, entered at the Westport Registration Office during the period 1864 to 1880.
All Newport Chapel marriages for 1872 to 1910.
