William Gill (1844-1917) & Mary Kyne Gill (1852-1924)
William Gill was the son of John Gill (1805) & Honoria Jennings (abt 1848) of Scardaune, Mayo. William was a farmer and an administrator for Lord Oranmore & Brown (landlord). He married Mary Coyne (Kate Coyne's sister) of Ballyglass, Mayo. They had 13 children in Scardaune, Mayo: Mary Ann (1870-1957), John (1869-1869), John Joseph (1871-1931), Andrew Peter (1874-1924), Catherine (Kate, 1876-1880), Eleanor (1878-1885), Michael (1880-1924), Honoria (Hannah, 1883-1924), Bedelia (Delia, 1885-?), Patrick (1888-1963), William (1890-1991), James Henry (1892-1973), Sarah (Celia or Sally, 1894-1979). Only 9 of the children survived to adulthood. Many of the family members died of a "Black Flu" around 1921-1923.
