·         Patrick immigrated from Queenstown (Cork), Ireland on the Campania arriving in New York on July 6, 1907.  He was single, 19 years old, and last place of residence was Tiernaur, Ireland.  He had $30 at the time.  Patrick is 5’9”, brown hair, blue eyes, and works as a shop assistant.  He is going to stay with his sister Mary O’Donnell of 1727 Clark Ave., Cleveland.

·         In the 1901 Burrishoole census, Patrick is living with his parents and 9 siblings.  Patrick is 10 years old (b: ~ 1891) and attends school.

·         In the 1910 Cuyahoga County census, Patrick is a boarder at the house of Martin Stanton.

·         In the 1930 census for Cleveland, Ohio, O’Donnell and his wife Jeannette are living at 11436 Carolina Road in the house of Jeannette’s mother, Gertrude Burkheiser.  Patrick is 40 years old (b: ~ 1890), immigrated in 1910, is naturalized, and works as a fireman for the city fire department.  Jeannette is 39 years old, born in Ohio, and does not work.  They have been married for 10 years.  Her mother Gertrude is 67 years old, widowed, and owns the house.  She was born in Ohio while her late husband (William) was born in Germany.

·         O'Donnell. Patrick C. O'Donnell, retired member of Cleveland Fire Dept., beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Burkheiser), brother of Frank of County Mayo, Ireland and the late Mary, Eileen, Elizabeth, Jane and James, Nov. 22. Funeral Mass Monday, Nov. 26, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, at 9:30 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The Brickman & Sons. Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Ave., Sunday 2-4 And 7-9 P.M.

·         Witness for his naturalization, John Babington, is related on my father’s side.  He married Mary Stanton, a cousin of my great-grandmother Bridget Stanton Gill.  Patrick was a boarder at the house of Mary’s father Martin Stanton in the 1910 census.
